On March 1, 3, 7 and 10, Michael Fabiano appears as Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca at Staatsoper Berlin. Director Alvis Hermanis’ take on the iconic opera has earned acclaim for its innovative approach, seamlessly blending contemporary theatrical elements like videography with a profound appreciation for the opera’s historical narrative of love, betrayal, and political upheaval in Napoleonic Rome.

The stellar cast for these performances also includes Maria Agresta as Tosca, Christopher Maltman as Scarpia, Friedrich Hamel as Angelotti, Jan Martiník as Sacristan, Johan Krogius as Spoletta, Dionysios Avgerinos as Sciarrone, and Taehan Kim as Jailer. Andrés Orozco-Estrada conducts.
