Role Debut as ‘Otello’ in Las Palmas

On March 24-29, Michael Fabiano makes his highly anticipated role debut as Verdi’s Otello, as part of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Opera Festival in Las Palmas, Spain. Fabiano is known for his interpretations of Verdi’s tenor roles, and has previously bowed as the title role in Don Carlo, as well as the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Manrico (Il trovatore), Alfredo (La traviata), Rodolfo (Luisa Miller), Gustavus III (Un ballo in maschera), and others. 

Fabiano will join an incredible cast in Carlo Antonio de Lucia’s production, under the baton of Carlo Montanaro. Erika Grimaldi sings Desdemona, with Gabriele Viviani as Iago, Bror Magnus Tødenes as Cassio, and Andrea Gens as Emilia.
