Teatro Real de Madrid to Broadcast ‘Nabucco’

The Teatro Real de Madrid is set to broadcast Verdi’s “Nabucco” on July 15.

The company will showcase the production by Andreas Homoki around the world. Nicola Luisotti conducts the opera with a cast that includes George Gagnidze, Michael Fabiano, Roberto Tagliavini, Saioa Hernández, Elena Maximova, Simon Lim, Fabián Lara, and Maribel Ortega.

The opera is part of the company’s opera week celebration and continues the Teatro Real’s summer broadcast.

The company has broadcast such works as “Il Trovatore” starring Francesco Meli, “I Puritani” with Diana Damrau, Verdi’s “La Traviata” with Marina Rebeka, and Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor.”

“Nabucco” opens on July 5 and will run through July 22. The production also stars Luca Salsi, Gabriele Viviani, Luis Cansino, Eduardo Aladrén, Dmitry Belosselsky, Alexander Vinogradov, Anna Pirozzi, and Oksana Dyka.
