‘Luisa Miller’ at Teatro di San Carlo

On June 6 and 9, Michael Fabiano will star as Rodolfo alongside soprano Nadine Sierra in a concert version of Verdi’s Luisa Miller at Teatro di San Carlo. Having premiered at the same Naples theater in 1849, this tragic opera portrays the doomed love between Luisa, a village girl, and Rodolfo, the son of a powerful count, set against a backdrop of political manipulation and familial conflict.

Under the baton of conductor Daniele Callegari, these performances will be rounded out by an exceptional cast, including Franco Vassallo as Miller, Gianluca Buratto and Ville Lignell (June 9) as Count Walter, Valentina Pluzhnikova as Federica, Krzysztof Bączyk as Wurm, Sabrina Vitolo as Laura, and Salvatore De Crescenzo as a peasant.
