‘La bohème’ at Teatro Real de Madrid

This winter, Michael Fabiano returns to Teatro Real de Madrid to perform the role of Rodolfo in Puccini’s perennial favorite, La bohème.

This production by director Richard Jones was received with great praise when it premiered at the Royal Opera House in 2017. Mr. Fabiano’s portrayal of Rodolfo was of significant note in the new production with The Telegraph writing:

“The American tenor Michael Fabiano justly earned the evening’s loudest applause. He sings Rodolfo with open ardour.”

The stellar cast will also feature Ermonela Jaho as Mimì, Lucas Meachem as Marcello, Ruth Iniesta as Musetta, Krzysztof Baczyk as Colline, Joan Martín-Royo as Schaunard, Vicenç Esteve as Benoît and Roberto Accurso as Alcindoro. Nicola Luisotti conducts.

Performances will take place on December 12, 15, 18, 20, 23, 26, 29, January 2 and 4.
