“Night Under the Stars” with Michael Fabiano & Joyce El-Khoury
Michael Fabiano and star soprano Joyce El-Khoury perform together in The Passage’s 19th annual Night Under the Stars concert at Royal Festival Hall on November 5. The concert is held to raise money for The Passage, an organization that aims to provide homeless people with support to transform their own lives. The Passage runs London’s largest voluntary sector resource center for homeless and vulnerable people: each day they help up to 200 men and women.
The concert celebrates the Magic of Italian Opera, hosted by long-term supporter of The Passage, BBC Radio 3 presenter Petroc Trewlany. The program will showcase arias from The Barber of Seville (Rossini), Nabucco (Verdi), Tosca, and Turandot (Puccini). The concert also features the Orion Orchestra conducted by Toby Purser. They will be joined by mezzo-soprano Clare Preland, baritone Simon Thorpe, and Streetwise Opera, the award-winning performing arts charity for people who are or have been homeless, as well as the Tiffin Boys’ Choir, Tiffin Chamber Choir and Trinity School Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs.
