‘Bernstein and Friends’ Concert with Nadine Sierra at Ravinia Festival
Michael Fabiano returns to the Ravinia Festival for its 114th year to celebrate Leonard Bernstein, in concert. Mr. Bernstein, who made his Ravinia debut in 1944 leading the CSO at the age of 26, would have turned 100 on August 25th of this year.
On August 10, Fabiano will share the stage with soprano Nadine Sierra for their Bernstein and Friends concert, celebrating the centennial of this legendary musician. The unique program includes art songs and arias by Bernstein, Turina, Duparc, Rodrigo, Villa-Lobos, Donizetti, Barber, Puccini, Giménez, Tchaikovsky, and Massenet. Both Michael Fabiano and Nadine Sierra are past members of Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute for singers, and will be joined on stage by pianist and RSMI vocal director, Kevin Murphy.
