Michael’s 2018/19 season is a diverse one. He will sing Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor with Opera Australia, open the season at Lyric Opera of Chicago as Rodolfo in a new production of La Bohème, return to the Metropolitan Opera for their production of this opera, and make his role debut there as Faust in Boito’s Mefistofele — a role he will portray in the Gounod incarnation at the Royal Opera. In addition, Michael makes his highly-anticipated house debut at the Berlin Staatsoper as the Duke in a new production of Rigoletto.

Concerts and recitals also figure prominently next season, with performances at the Festival del Sole in Napa Valley, the Ravinia Festival, and Sun Valley.
