I came across this while I was looking over the Huffington Post and it’s too good not to share.  It’s the Chairless Chair – designed by Zurich-based start-up noonee to allow people to literally sit without a chair.  The device attaches to an individual’s legs and when the person is ready to sit, the chair locks into place and redirects the weight to the heels.  How useful would this be for customer service jobs where people have to be on their feet for 6+ hours a day?  Or for concerts where people stand?  The chair isn’t available to the public yet (it’s still in the trial phase), but looks incredibly promising.
