Travel log
As part of my new online blog, I want to include all of you in my journey: where I’m going, what I’m doing, and some of my experiences on the road. I’m getting accustomed to using my new interface, and am so grateful that you are here to read and participate in it.
Today, I’m in New York City and Hurricane Irene has started to pound away at the city. Now, I’m not a weather man or a psychic, just a New Jersey born guy who is used to North Eastern storms, and so far, this hasn’t felt out of the norm to me. In fact, I was able to go to the gym tonight as late as 9 pm with ease, and the gym floor was packed with people wanting to get another round in before all of the mass closures tomorrow.
In any case, today was my first rehearsal for Lucrezia Borgia along side Renée Fleming (with all of the evacuations and difficulties on the roads and train tracks). I’m blessed and honored to be working with her again, and it was a thrilling first day for me to be able to dig into my role and work side by side with her.
Barring horrific problems at the airport, I’ll be making my way to San Francisco to meet the rest of the cast and begin work there, on Monday and I couldn’t be more excited!
